The Art of Rug Making
Barefoot Rugs is a small business established in 1996 by fiber artist, Susan Buswell. Susan creates one of a kind hand hooked rugs and wall hangings in her New England studio that reflect her love of nature, landscapes and color, while her workmanship demonstrates her commitment to quality.
Using a hand held punch needle, a tool inventer in the 1800s, Susan creates rugs and fiber pictures one loop at a time, a method likened to painting in wool. The end result is a unique work of art that will provide years of enjoyment.
