Artist Statement
Susan Buswell, Fiber Artist
Like many who are drawn to fiber arts, color and pattern are the focus of my work. My art reflects a love of nature, landscapes, and special moments. The use of bold colors is my trademark, as well as a love of texture, pattern and unique color combinations.
My goal is to provide a source for uniquely designed, one of a kind hand hooked rugs and wall hangings, and to promote the art of rug hooking. I love to teach classes and believe we all have an artist in us. The basic techniques of rug hooking are simple and with time can be taken to many different levels. I strive to show that rug hooking is still a vibrant, creative outlet of expression and art for the home.
